Miley Cyrus says her family is fine

LOS ANGELES – Miley Cyrus says she feels more at ease heading out on an international tour now that things are fine on the home front.

Earlier this year, her parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, were getting a divorce, and her father was critical of his daughter's behavior. But the Cyruses recently called off their divorce and the family is spending time together.

"I think it's good, especially when you go on the road. You have to make sure everyone is happy before you start traveling, you're away. My family is good. They are stoked for tour. As long as I'm happy they are happy," Cyrus said in an interview on Thursday.

The former "Hannah Montana" star is leaving for South America and Australia on April 27 for her Gypsy Heart Tour. It will be the first time Cyrus, whose most recent album is titled "Can't Be Tamed," has gone to South America, and she's excited — even though she won't be able to communicate with her fans in their language.

"I speak zero Spanish. I actually failed Spanish so I will have someone with me making sure I can get through my way," she said.

She recently released one of the album's songs, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," in Australia, and said she's excited to sing the Poison cover (which featured Bret Michaels) there live. But she won't be releasing that song in the United States, and right now, she has no plans to tour in her native country either.

"I just think right now America has gotten to a place where I don't know if they want me to tour or not. Right now I just want to go to the places where I am getting the most love and Australia and South America have done that for me," she said. "Kind of going to the places where I get the most love. Don't want to go anywhere where I don't feel completely comfortable with it."

Miley Cyrus is 'epic,' Charlie Sheen says

Miley Cyrus is "epic," troubled actor Charlie Sheen says, days after the teen pop star rejoined Twitter after more than a year.
The 18-year-old actress and singer, who rose to fame as the star of Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," quit the social networking service in late 2009, saying in an YouTube video that she wanted to keep her personal life private. She had Tweeted that her then-boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth, did not use the service himself and wanted her to delete her account.

Good Bye Twitter:

On March 29, Cyrus surfaced on Twitter again under the username gypsyhearttour, referencing the name of her upcoming "Gypsy Heart" tour of South America and Australia, which begins at the end of April.
Sheen has making headlines over the past few months due to a rehab stint for alcohol and drug abuse, a custody battle with his estranged wife and on-air rants on television, radio and on the Web against the co-creator of his CBS comedy series, "Two and a Half Men." He was later axed from the show and producers said he had "been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill."
The 45-year-old actor, who has struggled with substance addiction for years, gained a slew of new fans, especially younger ones, after he joined Twitter in early Marchjoined Twitter in early March. He often touts his live-in girlfriends, who are at least 20 years younger than him. For weeks, millions of people have recited quotes he has made in interviews and on Twitter that have now become catchphrases, namely the sarcastically-toned "Winning." (Read some of Charlie Sheen's craziest quotes.)

"Do not fear...the Sheenius is here!" a message on the gypsyhearttour Twitter account said on Sunday. "I'm I'm not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow @charliesheen #winning."
A message on Sheen's Twitter page on Monday said: "Dear Miley, Welcome back to Twitter! Always felt you were epic... Now you proved it! Thanks for the love! ybh c @gypsyhearttour."
Sheen is currently on his first stage tour, as fans wait to see what the actor will do with his entertainment career. Sheen's first show in Detroit on Saturday, April 2, did not go over well, as audience members booed and walked out, but the actor earned a standing ovation at a show in Chicago a day later.
Cyrus has undergone a turbulent year herself.

She caused some controversy lwhen she showcased a more mature image in performances and music videos, which marked a sharp contrast to her "good-girl" "Hannah Montana" persona seen on "Hannah Montana," the show that made her a worldwide star.
In October, her father and "Hannah Montana" co-star Billy Ray announced he and her mother, Tish, were ending their 17-year marriage. He announced in mid-March that he had called off a divorce and that they were reconciling
In December, Cyrus was criticized after a video posted on TMZ showed her smoking salvia, a herb legal in California, out of a bong and swearing. Cyrus later said the move was "a bad decision."
In Cyrus began her acting career when she was eight and rose to fame with her role on "Hannah Montana," which ended in January after four seasons. She starred in her first major film, "The Last Song", with Hemsworth, her on-again, off-again boyfriend, last year. On Sunday, Cyrus won the Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Movie Actress for her performance (see a list of winners).
Hemsworth was recently cast in "The Hunger Games" alongside Jennifer Lawrence, while Cyrus is filming the sorority comedy "So Undercover" with friend Kelly Osbourne, who also defended her after the "bong" video surfaced.

By the way
Charlie Sheen may have bombed on tour. But he picked up at least one follower: Miley Cyrus. The pop star took over her 'Gypsy Heart' Twitter account after a two-year break from tweeting, posting, 'I'm not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow @charliesheen #winning.'

Miley Cyrus remains mum on parents' divorce as 'Hannah Montana' nears end

Miley Cyrus
is keeping mum on her parents Billy Ray's and Tish's divorce proceedings, as her Disney Channel show Hannah Montana, which launched her career, nears its end after four seasons.

Meanwhile, talk show hosts Jay Leno and Phil McGraw are set to appear on an upcoming Hannah Montana episode on November 7.

Leno and McGraw will play themselves on the episode, titled "I'll Always Remember You". Hannah Montana contemplates removing her blonde wig and revealing she's really Miley Stewart on The Tonight Show, which Leno hosts, after her boyfriend Jesse begins to grow tired of pretending to date her alter-ego, international pop star Hannah Montana.

The Disney Channel has not confirmed the date of the Hannah Montana series finale but a spokesperson said it would air in 2011.

Billy Ray Cyrus, who plays the actress' and singer's father on Hannah Montana, was the one who filed the divorce papers earlier this week, citing irreconcilable differences."

Miley Cyrus told TV Guide magazine in a video interview shot prior to the filing: "Our relationship has changed like every dad and daughter but we haven't separated. We haven't distanced outselves. We have even gotten closer. I don't have anything to hide, I'm with him every day and he trusts me more than I think most dads trust their daughters."

Miley Cyrus, who turns 18 on November 23, has said she has outgrown Hannah Montana and also caused some controversy earlier this year when she showcased a more mature image in performances and music videos, which marked a sharp contrast to her "good-girl" persona seen on the show. The actress and singer acknowledges she has changed since she began filming Hannah Montana.

"I've definitely changed a lot," Miley Cyrus said. "Who you are and what you know and what you understand and what you feel is completely different."

"I have one Hannah Montana outfit that I've kept," she added. "If I ever have a girl one day I want her to be able to dress up as Hannah Montana one day and know what it feels like. I think I'll probably end up saving one of the wigs."

Cyrus, who began her acting career when she was eight, is focusing her attention on the big screen. She stars in the 2011 film LOL: Laughing Out Loud with Demi Moore and plays a girl who deals with high school romances and friendships as well as overbearing parents. Lionsgate recently acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the film.
