Katie Holmes: Failure Not an Option For Actress Katie Holmes!
KATIE Holmes is desperately hoping that people tune in to her new TV show The Kennedys — the miniseries that airs Sundays on ReelzChannel.
In the show — which was scrapped by The History Channel in January — Holmes plays Jackie Kennedy opposite Greg Kinnear as JFK.
And the actress — who’s married to Tom Cruise – is keen for the project to be a success.
During a recent interview, Hows described the eight-part miniseries as “like a Greek tragedy” and said she admired Jackie’s devotion as a mother.
“I hope people find it and watch it,” Holmes said.
The show premiered this past weekend.
Meanwhile, Katie has revealed how she was left shocked when her daughter accidentally picked up some penis-shaped candy.
The actress was recently pictured treating Suri, three, to a trip to an ice cream parlor, where the little girl was seen grasping the rude candy, and insists she thought they were a type of US confectionery called Swedish Fish.
“Recently, I took her to get ice cream in New York at this place called Serendipity that we go to all the time. It’s for kids,” Katie said.
However, the brunette beauty was horrified when she realized her tot was holding a comedy packet of sweets shaped like male genitalia.
Spelling out the word, an embarrassed Katie said, “P-e-n-i-s gummies. I said, ‘Oh wow those aren’t Swedish Fish!’
“They are called p-e-n-i-s gummies and they look like it. She was holding the box and I was like, ‘OK, wow, we don’t need that right now.’ “
The former Dawson’s Creek star was then left with a dilemma with how to take the offensive sweets away from Suri in case she asked what they were.
“I thought if I said, ‘Put that back!’ then she’s going to say, ‘What is this?’ and I really didn’t want to have that conversation,” she said.
The 32-year-old actress is still surprised a family-orientated establishment would sell such a lewd product.
“I was like, ‘Why are they selling these here? This is for kids’,” she said.
Kate Gosselin Pining For EX? Sources Say Kate Gosselin Misses Jon!
KATE Gosselin is missing her ex-husband.
Sources say the reality TV star — who raises eight kids with Jon Gosselin, whom she split from in 2009 — is pining for her former spouse and feels lost without him.
“He was her whipping boy, but also her best friend,” a source said. “Yes, things were very toxic between them, but there was at least some sort of camaraderie.
“His departure made the show less interesting to people and left a very real hole in her life.
“She pretends to be made of steel, but underneath, she is very sensitive.”
Gosselin is was reportedly to be back in the dating game.
The reality TV star — whose divorce from Jon was finalized last year — recently headed to 230 Fifth in search of romance and she had a film crew in tow, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
“It was supposed to be Kate’s 36th birthday celebration, but it was all about meeting men,” a source said.
“She was all dolled up in a black cocktail dress, brought a camera crew and was chatting up a lot of guys. It wasn’t clear if they were actors or not.”
Kate recently confirmed she’s back on the dating scene.
“I’ve been on a few little dates here and there but I have eight kids already,” she said.
“I don’t need nine.”
Katy Perry stole beat from the Mafia
Katy Perry admits the beat for ‘E.T’ was written for hip hop group Three 6 Mafia.
Katy Perry admits the beat for ‘E.T’ was written for a rap group.
The ‘Teenage Dream’ singer said the idea for the song came from her producers “accidentally” playing her a beat they had designed for southern US hip hop group Three 6 Mafia.
She explained: “I remember writing with Max Martin and Dr. Luke, and they were just showing me different samples of songs or tracks or beats, and they accidentally pulled up this beat, and it was for Three 6 Mafia.
“I heard it and I always knew I wanted to write this futuristic, alienistic song, and I was like, 'Wait, I can wrap my head around this. I know this seems like a long shot, but I think I have the perfect material to put on top of this sound.' And I did, and it really worked out perfectly (sic).”
The single version of ‘E.T.’ – which stands for Extra Terrestrial – features rapper Kanye West, and Katy admits he helped bring out the track’s “urban feel”.
She added: "It's kind of a bit harder, it does have that urban feel underneath it. I think that's why Kanye added even another layer on top of it.
"And it has amazing sonics — I mean, there's so much to it, there's a lot in the song if you really put your headphones on and sink into the song."
